A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to inactive addresses under the same domain. For example, an email sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get messages from mates or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some moment you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be delivered to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting

Creating a catch-all mailbox will be amazingly easy in case you have a Linux website hosting with us. You can enable this feature through our advanced, albeit simple-to-work-with Email Manager tool, which is included in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you will administer your web hosting account. You’ll see all the email addresses that you’ve created listed alphabetically and next to each one of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will quickly let you know whether a specific mailbox receives all the messages pertaining to a given domain name or not. With a single click on the icon you can activate or deactivate the feature at any moment. If there’s enabled email forwarding or if another mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a given domain, you will get an alert from our system. The latter will not deactivate/replace anything automatically and without your permission.
